The Departments of Agriculture and Zoology, SPACES Degree College (Autonomous), Payakaraopeta, organized an educational field visit to Natural Fresh Farms, Kolimeru, for the students of II B.Sc. Agriculture & Rural Development, II B.Sc. Zoology, and III B.Sc. Zoology.
The field visit was organized as part of the College's commitment to experiential learning and practical education, providing students with an opportunity to observe agricultural practices and farm management in a real-world setting.
During the visit, students were introduced to the overall organization and functioning of the farm and observed various aspects of crop production, farm management, sustainable agricultural practices, resource utilization, and day-to-day farm operations. The farm personnel explained the practical considerations involved in maintaining agricultural productivity and managing farm-based activities.
Students actively participated in the visit by observing field practices, recording relevant information, and interacting with the farm personnel. The interaction enabled them to understand the practical challenges associated with agricultural production and appreciate the importance of scientific approaches, efficient resource management, and sustainability in modern farming.
The interdisciplinary participation of students from Agriculture and Zoology provided an additional dimension to the learning experience, helping students recognize the relationship between biological principles and agricultural production systems.
The visit strengthened students' practical knowledge, observational skills, field understanding, and awareness of agribusiness and entrepreneurial opportunities. It also provided an effective platform for connecting classroom concepts with their practical applications in the field.
The field visit forms part of the College's continuing efforts to promote experiential learning, interdisciplinary education, practical skill development, and holistic student development.
