SPACES Degree College celebrates 134th Birth anniversary of legendary mathematician Srinivas Ramanujan.  On 21-12-21, national mathematics day eve was celebrated at Sri Prakash Educational Institutions.

The day marks the birth anniversary of famous mathematician Srinivas Ramanujan. To remember the great mathematician, SPACES Degree College organized the national mathematics day. The chief guest of the day was E.Chandraiah, renowned math magician and ankela mamayya. He gave lecture on ‘how to like maths’ and he enlightened the students with simple teaching on maths. In his presentation he demonstrated ‘the basic rules to get speed in maths and the best way of learning was to teach others. The heads of Sri Prakash participated in the programme. Dr.K.Veerraju, Principal, SPACES Degree College, Sri M.V.V.S. Murthy, Senior Principal, Sri Prakash schools, Sri V.V.S.S. Bhanumurthy, Principal, Sri Prakash Junior College. Sri K.Trimuthulu Reddy, Vice President, A.P State Jana Vignana Vedika, was the guest of honour.

The Chief guest of the day E. Chandraiah, Performed magic show on maths. This enthralled the students. On the part of celebrations, the senior faculty members of mathematics ware felicitated by chief guest and other heads. Quiz program was conducted and winners were given away prizes. 

Everybody felt this was an enlightening day.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been made between SPACES Degree College, Payakaraopeta and ABBAI DOCTOR CLINICAL LABORATORY, Tuni on 16.12.2021, for a period of 3 years for Skill development of Students in Clinical Lab Technology.
Such activities include
•    Organizing workshops / seminars on Medical Lab Technologies.
•    Conducting training programs in Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology & Clinical Pathology, to acquire practical knowledge.
•    Sharing advanced and traditional information from the field according technology developments.
•    Promoting future research vision of the students and make them self- employed, by establishing clinical lab.
•    Promoting research for the welfare of the students and public in the field of medical lab technology.

On 08.01.2022 , BIOTECH -Final year Students of SPACES Degree students, visited ABBAI DOCTOR CLINICAL LABORATORY, TUNI . Students were taught and guided by Sri N.V.S.Satish taught the students regarding how tests are conducted out on clinical specimens to obtain information about the health of a patient to aid in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Students learnt diagnosis ,monitoring and screening .

SPACES Degree College, Payakaraopeta has made an MoU with Sankalpa Prawn Farms & Hatcheries, Pentakota on 23.12.2019 for Students Exposure and awareness on Aquaculture business and management. The MoU has been made for a period of 8 years.
The memorandum is made to:
•    Enable students acquire knowledge of aquaculture business and management with Industry college linkage.
•    Produce skilled human resource by industrial exposure and training.
•    Conduct frequent talks by experts to have knowledge on current scenario of Aquaculture Industry 

On 09.01.2020, SPACES Degree life sciences students visited the Hatchery to get their first level experience on Vannamei production and hatchery management, design, and production trends. They have observed the feeding methods, breeding and post larvae package and how they are cultured in ponds. On 10.02.2022, As a part of curriculum, having MoU with Sankalpa prawn farms and hatchery student visited the Sankalpa hatchery and acquired the knowledge about the growth of algae and other artificial feeds, maintenance of water quality and trends in seed production and prevention of diseases, accumulation of ammonia and other harmful elements in seed culture. Sri.P.Rammohan Rao Garu, Managing partner and technicians explained all the sections in the hatchery.

SPACES Degree College organized an enlightening health awareness session featuring Dr. K. Madhavi Latha, a distinguished Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with vast clinical experience. The objective of the session was to raise awareness about women’s health, personal hygiene, and preventive healthcare practices among students and faculty.
Dr. Madhavi Latha delivered a highly informative and interactive talk focused on reproductive health, menstrual hygiene, and early health screening. She emphasized the importance of developing healthy lifestyle habits, regular medical checkups, and overcoming the stigma surrounding women’s health issues. A key highlight of her session was the discussion on the HPV vaccine, where she explained its role in preventing cervical cancer. She addressed common concerns about the vaccine, encouraged early administration, and stressed its safety and efficacy.
The students and faculty appreciated the clarity and openness with which Dr. Madhavi Latha addressed sensitive topics. Her approach not only educated the audience but also encouraged them to take proactive steps in ma intaining their health. The session concluded with a Q&A segment, where students asked practical questions related to their personal health concerns.
In recognition of her valuable contribution, Dr.K. Madhavi Latha was felicitated by Dr. V.V.S.B. Bangarraju, Dean; Dr. A. R.K. Reddy, Principal; Dr. A.K. Tripathy, IQAC Coordinator; P. Ch. V. Subbarao, Vice Principal And All Female Faculty Members. The event was a resounding success, providing vital knowledge that will benefit the participants long after the celebration.

SPACES Degree College organized a meaningful event on 24th January 2025. The main objective of the celebration was to promote gender equality, create awareness about the importance of girls’ education, and highlight the need for empowerment and safety of the girl child. A preparatory meeting was held in advance to discuss and finalize the plans for the programme.
During the planning meeting, the team decided to invite Smt. G. Sowjanya, ICDS Supervisor, as the Guest of Honour for the event. The agenda included organizing an awareness programme that would inspire and educate students on key issues related to the well-being and rights of girl children. All members unanimously agreed on the importance of hosting such an event to encourage a more inclusive and informed campus environment.
On the day of the event, the college welcomed Smt. G. Sowjanya, who was warmly received by Dr. V.V.S.B. Bangarraju, Dean; Dr. A. R.K. Reddy, Principal; Dr. A.K. Tripathy, IQAC Coordinator; P. Ch. V. Subbarao, Vice Principal, and members of Women Empowerment Cell. The Guest of Honour addressed the gathering and interacted with the girl students, emphasizing the significance of gender equality and the importance of maintaining good health through nutritious food. Her speech was both informative and inspiring, motivating the students to strive for confidence, independence, and awareness of their rights.
The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony in honour of the guest, appreciating her efforts and dedication to the cause of girl child welfare. The celebration was a great success, leaving a lasting impact on the students and reinforcing the college’s commitment to promoting empowerment and equal opportunities for all.

SPACES Degree College recently held a three-day culinary workshop called "Flashback Flavours" from 12th November 2024 to 14th November 2024 to celebrate the rich food heritage of Andhra Pradesh. The workshop aimed to promote entrepreneurship and skill development among students while preserving the state's culinary traditions. Total 20 students were participated.
During the workshop, participants learned how to make traditional Andhra recipes like Bellam Garelu, Putharekulu, Kotaiah Kaja, Madugula Halwa, Bandaru Laddu, and Bandaru Halwa. The sessions were led by experienced chefs who shared their knowledge and skills with the participants.
In addition to the cooking sessions, the workshop also featured an interactive session on the business aspects of the food industry. The Secretary and Correspondent of the college shared valuable insights on costing and business tips, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
The college management organized the workshop, and the participants expressed their gratitude to the management, faculty members, and staff for their support and encouragement. The workshop was a huge success, and the participants gained valuable knowledge and skills in traditional Andhra cuisine.

Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) in SPACES Degree College, installed Sanitary napkin vending Machine for girls in waiting hall  on 17-10-2024. In view of keeping in mind that the health, cleanliness and hygienic issues of the girl students, the vending machines have been installed . The machine has 20 pads capacity of feeding and each napkin is available at a nominal price of Rs 5/- only. Mrs Ch. Sravani Lakshmi, Convenor, Women empowerment cell and lecturer in Physics demonstrated the importance and correct use of machine to the girls. All the women faculty members and girl students participated in the installation programme. We express our sincere gratitude to the management for providing this facility for the benefit of the girl students. 

SPACES Degree college conducted an awareness programme on Guidelines for Women Safety on August 24, 2024. The awareness programme was organized by Women Empowerment Cell. The guest of day was S.Venkata Laskhmi, police constable, Payakaraopeta.

The guest elaborated the rights of the women and dispelled the doubts of the female students as well as faculty members. She also shared valuable tips and guidelines to ensure the safety and security.

2. Stay connected: Share your location and itinerary with friends and family.
3. Be aware of surroundings: Pay attention to your environment and avoid isolated areas.

6. Report incidents: not to hesitate to report any incidents or harassment to the authorities concerned.
7. Stay safe online: Be cautious in using google and avoid sharing personal information.

The programme was graced by the presence of our Honourable Dean Dr V.V.S.B. Bangar Raju, Principal, Dr. A. R. K. Reddy, Vice Principal P. Ch. V. Subbarao and IQAC Co-ordinator Dr. A. K. Tripathi and all women faculty members. The event aimed to empower our female students with required knowledge and confidence to protect themselves and promote a safer community.

SPACES Degree College successfully organized a Beauty Skills Workshop from 23rd July to 30th July 2024, with the aim of empowering students through participative learning and hands-on training. The primary objective of the workshop was to instill self-reliance among students by equipping them with practical skills that could potentially support entrepreneurial ventures, thereby encouraging them to become job creators instead of job seekers.
The workshop was inaugurated with the gracious presence of Mrs. Hetal Patel, a proud alumna of SPACES Degree College and proprietor of her own beauty business. As the guest of honour, she inspired the students with her journey from student to successful entrepreneur. Her words resonated deeply with the participants and set a motivational tone for the workshop.
Throughout the week, students were introduced to a variety of beauty skills. On 23rd July, the session focused on entrepreneurial motivation and the basics of Mehndi design. The following day, 24th July, students learned basic shape-making techniques using Mehndi cones. On 25th July, the focus shifted to creating intricate Mehndi designs, and on 26th July, participants engaged in hands-on Mehndi practice, allowing them to apply what they had learned creatively and confidently.
After the Mehndi sessions, the final two days of the workshop expanded into broader beauty skills. On 29th July, the students were trained in hair styling, followed by an exciting session on makeup and saree draping on 30th July. Each session emphasized practical learning, with participants actively involved in performing tasks under guidance.
Around 20 enthusiastic students from various disciplines registered and took part in the workshop. Their participation reflected a keen interest in learning new skills and building self-confidence. The hands-on nature of the sessions helped students not only develop technical proficiency but also boosted their creative thinking and presentation skills.
The workshop concluded successfully, leaving students with a newfound sense of empowerment and readiness to explore entrepreneurial opportunities in the beauty and self-care industry. The initiative was a testament to SPACES Degree College’s commitment to skill development, women empowerment, and career-oriented education.

SPACES Degree College conducted International Women's day eve on 7th march 2024 . On this occasion guests from different works of life attended. Ms. T Sandhya Rani , Head Mistres SPVN, Our alumni Ms.T.Charishma ,GSMK Mahila police Mangavaram and Ms. K.Rajeswari ,Senior cashier SPVN.The guest speakers shared their experience insight , inspiring the audience with their practical experiences.Their insights  empowered all the girls and women staff  and inculcated confidence  among the women community .On this occasion ,games like kho-kho ,running, tennikoit , throw ball and also rangoli,spot painting were conducted for the girls. Students displayed  Indian cultures and traditions. This fascinated  every one and the performance beautified the programme. All the women staff took part  in Elocution competition on “Women Empowerment”.All the Winners from different competitions were given away the prizes.Finally ,all the guests were felicitated .In this programme , Sri V.S.S.Bhanu Murthy ,Principal SPJC ,was the adjudicator for the Elocution competition .Dr.K.Veerraju Principal , Sri V.V.S.Bangarraju ,HR, Sri P.CH.V.Subbarao Vice Principal, Ms Ch Sravani Lakshmi,coordinator women Empowerment cell and all the women staff participated in this programme.

On 24th January 2024, SPACES Degree College celebrated National Girl Child Day with a spirit of promoting gender equality and highlighting the importance of empowering girls and women in society. The day provided an opportunity to raise awareness about the challenges faced by girls and women staff.
In this context, an elocution competition was organized for the students. The competition provided a platform for participants to express their thoughts and opinions on the theme of empowering the girl child through effective communication skills

An awareness conference on biogas and sustainable energy was successfully organized on 16th December 2025, at SPACES Degree College (A). The program aimed to create awareness among students about renewable energy sources and environmental sustainability.

Dr. Gangagni Rao, Scientist from the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering. During his interaction with students, Dr. Rao explained in detail the process of biogas production and its wide range of applications. He emphasized that generating biogas from waste is one of the most effective and eco-friendly renewable energy solutions.

Dr. Rao highlighted that waste materials from dairy units, agricultural activities, and pharmaceutical industries can be used as low-cost raw materials to produce biogas without causing harm to the environment. He further explained that biogas production not only generates organic fertilizer, but also produces electricity and fuel for vehicles, thereby converting waste into valuable resources. He stated that biogas has the potential to transform waste into wealth.

Addressing the students, Dr. Gangagni Rao noted that the biogas sector offers significant employment opportunities for youth and plays a crucial role in the nation’s development and the achievement of a sustainable future.
