SPACES Degree College NCC Band Wins First Prize at the 80th Independence Day Celebrations at Kakinada in the Presence of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan

The NCC Band team of SPACES Degree College (Autonomous) received widespread appreciation for its outstanding performance during the 80th Independence Day celebrations held in the presence of the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Konidela Pawan Kalyan Garu. The SPACES NCC Band secured First Prize in the band performance competition conducted as part of the celebrations. In recognition of this remarkable achievement, the NCC Band team received the First Prize from Kakinada District Collector Sri Harindra Prasad and District Superintendent of Police Sri Bindumadhav. The college management stated that its objective is not only to provide NCC training to the cadets but also to offer them specialized band training and groom them to reach the level of prestigious Republic Day (RD) Parade performances in the future. Special attention is being given to identifying and nurturing the hidden talents of NCC cadets and providing them with opportunities at the national level. The achievement is particularly significant as the SPACES Degree College NCC Band performed in Kakinada for the first time and secured the First Prize. The Head of Sri Prakash Educational Institutions, Sri Ch. V. K. Narasimha Rao, Joint Secretary Sri Vijay Prakash, faculty members, NCC officers, cadets, and students expressed their happiness and appreciation over this remarkable accomplishment. The management stated that this victory is a testament to the talent, discipline, dedication, and hard work of the SPACES Degree College NCC cadets and marks another proud achievement for the institution.

Grand NCC Celebrations in Sri Prakash

NCC day celebrations in Spaces Degree college which is a part in Sri Prakash Educational Institutions took place in a grand manner. S.I. Shirish has attended as a chief guest of this programme. Beginning with national anthem and honourable salute of NCC , various postures of pyramids have become very attractive. The chief guest has inspired students in his worthful speech that NCC students must acquire Discipline, self-respect and time sense with which they can develop patriotism to serve the nation as good citizens. 71st NCC Day was observed @ SPACES

71th NCC day was celebrated in a grand manner. The celebrations began with hoisting the national flag and NCC flag.NCC cadets performed pyramids and March fast excellently.

Sri.  Motukuri Venkatesh secretary of youth wing  YSRCP , was  the chief guest for the celebration .He was alumni of SPACES Degree college . In his address , he emphasized the power of discipline and time management.  Another guest of honour Dr.K.Veeraju , Principal Incharge appealed the students to work for the society.

In this celebrations  , Sri. VVSS Bhanumurthy  ,Principal Sri Prakash Junior College ,Sri .Penugonda Subbarao Vice Principal , R.Ramana Babu ,lieutenant NCC, Smt. G.Karuna lieutenant ,NCC cadets and students participated. At the end , cultural  programmes enthralled the audience.

SPACES STUDENT @ ALL INDIA NCC THAL SAINIK CAMP

It is believed that Thal Sainik camp is one of the best camps in NCC. The aim of the Thal  Sainik Camp is to give an exposure to salient aspects of Army Training, generate competitive spirit and foster sense of discipline, leadership and National Integration amongst participating cadets. The camp provides the Cadets with everlasting memories of intense competitions in various disciplines like Map Reading , Firing , Obstacle training , Field signals , Judging Distance ,Health and Hygiene etc.
    In this prestigious camp, D.Pavan Kalyan (II B.Sc) from SPACES Degree College exhibited wonderful skills. The camp lasted around 4 months. As  an individual he got the first place in  Obstacle training as well as the second place in Directorate category. He bagged medal and appreciation letter from Lieutenant  General , Rajiv Chopra.
        Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash, Joint secretary, Sri Prakash Educational Institution appreciated D.Pavan Kalyan  for his successful completion of Thal Sainik camp and D.Pavan Kalyan  received showers of appreciation from secretary and Correspondant Sri Ch.V.K.Narasimha Rao , principal Incharge Dr. K.Veeraju ,vice principal Penugonda Subbarao and NCC ANO Lieutenant R.R    amana Babu and the staff.

NCC Day Celebrations@ SPACES Degree College

NCC day was observed on 24-11-2018 (Saturday) in SPACES Degree College. Both boys and girls NCC wings participated in this celebration. In this programme, Subedar chitekala Tatayya, Jr.Commissioned officer (JCO) was the chief guest, Mvvs Bhanumurthy, Principal, SPJC, was the Guest of honor and Dr.K.Veerraju, Principal-In charge Participated .All NCC students performed Drill meticulously and some other NCC students performed excellent Formations and the programme ended with cultural events. 

NCC CAT-C 14 (A) Girls camp @ SPACES

NCC Group, Kakinada conduct training Camps on the part of training. In this context,  they conducted CATC 14(A) from 28 June To 6th June at SPACES Degree College. This camp is essential to the cadets to get their ‘A, B, C’ Certificates. 

In this camp, cadets were trained in Drill, Map reading, Rifle Shooting, Weapon Training  and also cadets participated in Swatcha Bharat Abhiyan.  In this camp 540 cadets 48(9) A Air NCC Cadets from various colleges and schools were participated.

The camp was supervised by NCC Group commander Col. LCS Naidu.  He expressed his sincere thanks to the management of Sri Prakash for providing all the facilities. Captain D.Srinivas, deputy commander G.Malathi and 10 associate NCC officers participated in the camp.

 

68TH NCC DAY CELEBRATIONS @ SPACES DEGREE COLLEGE, PAYAKARAOPETA

On 26-Nov-2016 the NCC day was celebrated at SPACES Degree College. About 150 NCC Cadets of both the wings of boys and girls actively participated in these celebrations. All the jubilant cadets performed various activities like Pyramid formations, NCC drill and Cultural events also. The Heads who were on stage on this momentous occasion were Sri V V S Bhanu Murthy, Principal, Sri Prakash Junior College, Dr. K.Veerraju, Principal in-charge, SPACES Degree College and Sri. P.CH.V.Subbarao, Vice-Principal, SPACES Degree College and ANOs Lt.R.RamanaBabu and Lt. G.Karuna. They shared their valuable experiences with the students.

NSS SPECIAL CAMP @MASAHEB PETA VILLAGE

SPACES Degree College is organizing NSS special camp at Masaheb peta Village, Payakaraopeta Mandal from 5th Jan 2022 to 11th Jan 2022. Inauguration ceremony held on 5th Jan 2022 . Surpanch Smt. G.Neelaveni started the camp with Jyothi Prajwalana , around 100 NSS Volunteers going to take part in the camp with an Agenda including swatch Bharat, Health & Hygiene , Fight against Covid , Sanitation , Plantation e.tc. Principal Dr. K.VeerRaju,   Programme Officers Sri. P.Bhaskararao NSS Unit-1 , Sri. G.Tatayya Naidu NSS Unit-2 , Village Youth, MPTC , Vice-surpanch participated in the inauguration ceremony and appreciated the students for their selfless service attitude.

NSS special camp was organised @ SPACES Degree College

 

An NSS special camp was organised on 06 – 01 - 2019 (Sunday) at P L Puram , Seetharampuram , P R Peta (Md). Around 100 students participated in this camp. This was inaugurated by sarpanch Sri U. Venkata Ramana, Sri M. Raju Naidu. In this context he addressed the students and emphasized to creative awareness on govt. Welfare schemes to the people. After that Dr. K. Veerraju, Principal Incharge, in his address , emphasized the cleanliness programme, Swatch Bharath, Purified water, Eye camp, awareness on alchol consumption and dengue. NSS programme officers P.Bhaskara Rao, G.T.Naidu participated in the camp. This camp will be concluded on 12-01-2019.

 

NSS volunteer’s EYE Camp

 

As part of the special service camp by SPACES Degree College NSS volunteers, an eye camp was well organized Sri N.Bhima Raju, Sarpanch, Artlakota inaugurated the camp. Dr D.Srinivas Rao of the Sivaji Foundation, Tuni conducted medical tests and eye check up. While 200 people got checked up, 20 of them underwent cataract operation and distributed free medicines and spectacles on 22.01.18 

CURIE’OUS The Science Symposium-2019

    Professor  SVS  Nageswara Rao  presented his seminar on Nano Technology .During his presentation he explained the importance of Nano Technology and about HCU standards.
    The second seminar was presented by Dr.Murali Banavoth on Solar Energy by exploiting this energy, how electricity would be produced. He presented in a simple manner and in a lucid way.
       The last seminar on Pharmaceutical market and its range in the global market presented by Dr.Rajesh Kumar Nadiminti .In his presentation he explained the range of Pharmaceutical market.
        In the valedictory function, Sri Ch.Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary , addressed the gathering. In his address, he appealed the students to explore the unknown things in  science and take advantage of using these seminars.
        In this context, Quiz presentations , poster presentations  were conducted.All the students from different colleges participated enthusiastically. The winners were given away the medals and cash prizes. In this seminars , around 600 students participated and also Dr. K.Veeraju Incharge Principal ,Penugonda Subbarao Vice Principal  ,Siva Gangadhar HOD-Chemistry ,Santhosh Kumar HOD-Physics and lecturers were present.




Infinitum – 2025

The Department of Mathematics, of SPACES Degree College (A), on 20th December 2025, successfully organized the National Mathematics Day Celebrations – Infinitum–2025, commemorating the birth anniversary and enduring legacy of the legendary mathematician Sir Srinivasa Ramanujan. The theme Infinitum symbolizes the boundless nature of mathematics and its ever-expanding horizons, reflecting infinite curiosity, innovation and learning. The event reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and the promotion of mathematical thinking among students.

The celebration brought together eminent academicians who shared valuable insights into contemporary and applied areas of mathematics, thereby enriching the academic experience of the participants.

The program was graced by Prof. S.R.Santhanam, President – AIMER and Member – International Group of Mathematical Creativity & Giftedness, who attended as the Chief Guest. He delivered an inspiring lecture titled “Mathematics in Technology and Technology in Mathematics.”

In his address, Prof. S.R.Santhanam emphasized that mathematics is deeply embedded in everyday life and forms the backbone of modern technological advancements. He clearly explained the interdependent relationship between mathematics and technology—how mathematical principles drive innovation and how technological tools, in turn, enhance mathematical research and applications. He encouraged students to adopt mathematics as a lifelong skill and draw inspiration from the life and contributions of Srinivasa Ramanujan to contribute meaningfully to national development through knowledge and creativity.

Dr. K.Aruna Kumari, Department of Mathematics & Statistics, GITAM School of Science, GITAM (Deemed to be) University, Visakhapatnam, attended the program as Guest of Honour and delivered an enlightening lecture on “An Introduction to Discrete Mathematical Structures and Their Applications.” She introduced students to the fundamental concepts of discrete mathematics and explained their significance in areas such as computer science, data analysis and emerging technologies. She also highlighted the remarkable contributions of Srinivasa Ramanujan and motivated students by emphasizing how strong mathematical reasoning can lead to innovation, research opportunities, and global recognition.

Another Guest of Honour, Dr. M.Sivaiah, Principal, Government Degree College, Nakkapalli, addressed the gathering on “Numerical Techniques in Mathematics.”
He elaborated on the practical importance of numerical techniques in solving real-world problems across science, engineering and technology. He encouraged students to pursue higher education and research in mathematics, highlighting the vast academic and professional opportunities available in the field.

As part of Infinitum–2025, the Department of Mathematics organized several academic and skill-oriented competitions to enhance students’ analytical, logical, and problem-solving abilities. The activities included Crossword Puzzle Competition, Quiz Competition and Word Search Activities.

The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and successfully promoted logical thinking, creativity and teamwork. Winners of the quiz competition were awarded cash prizes and mementos as a token of encouragement and appreciation.

The program was conducted under the able leadership of Dr. A.Ramakrishna Reddy, Principal, SPACES Degree College(A). The event was efficiently coordinated by Mr. P.Ch.V.Subbarao, Program Co-ordinator, Vice Principal & Head, Department of Mathematics, and Mr. K.V.V.Eswararao, Organizing Secretary and Lecturer in Mathematics. The collective efforts of the faculty members, students and staff ensured the smooth and successful execution of the program.

The National Mathematics Day Celebrations – Infinitum–2025 achieved their objective of creating awareness about the vital role of Mathematics in everyday life and modern technology. The expert lectures, engaging competitions, and active student participation made the event intellectually enriching and inspiring. The celebration reinforced the idea that Mathematics is not merely an academic subject, but a powerful tool that drives innovation, research, and national development.

Infinitum-2025 reached new heights of success thanks to the constant encouragement and patronage of our Management. We are deeply indebted to our Chief Patron, Sri Ch.V.K. Narasimha Rao garu, Secretary and Correspondent and our Patron, Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash garu, Joint Secretary, for their foresight and generous provision of resources. Their dedication in nurturing student talent in both academics and beyond is truly commendable.

Infinitum - National Mathematics Day Celebrations-2024 

SPACES Degree College, Payakaraopeta, hosted Mathematics Day Celebrations i.e., INFINITUM on 20th December 2024, brought together esteemed guests, faculty members, and students to commemorate Sir Srinivasa Ramanujan and the significance of mathematics in our lives.

The highlight of the event was the presence of Dr. Maddala Sundari, Associate Professor, Chennai Mathematical Institute. Dr. Sundari delivered a captivating lecture on the mathematical science behind origami, highlighting its surprising applications in astrophysics.

Prof. S.R.Santhanam, President-AIMER & Member – International group of Mathematical Creativity and Giftedness also addressed the gathering, speaking about various mathematicians and their contributions to the field. He elaborated on the significance of Srinivasa Ramanujan, highlighting his exceptional mathematical abilities and groundbreaking work in field of Mathematics.

Dr. M.Sivaiah, Prof. in Mathematics & Principal, Govt. Degree College, Nakkapalli, emphasized the importance of Mathematics in all subjects, stating that "Mathematics is the Queen of Sciences, as no subject can exist without Mathematics".

The event also featured a quiz competition, consisting three students in each team, which saw enthusiastic participation from students. The winners and runners-up of the Quiz event were rewarded with cash prizes of ₹6,000 and ₹3,000, respectively.

The event served as a testament to the college's commitment to promoting mathematical awareness and excellence.
